To visit the Heideblick Dragons Teeth
Drive west on B40 out of Landstuhl and follow the sign toward “Lambsborn” in Bruchmuhlbach. Bear right off the main road into Lambsborn. Continue through the village of Lambsborn toward Bechhofen. Approximately 700 meters out of town, turn left at the bus stop circular "H" sign, on a farm road labeled “Haus Heideblick”. Park at the fork in the road and walk along the tree line parallel to the highway approximately 130 yards. A well-preserved emplacement of dragon’s teeth is visible about 20 yards into the forest.
To Visit the site of the Heidehof Bunker:
Be aware there are no remains visible at this site - the hut for the hiking club was built on top of the old Heidehof bunker. To visit the site, stay parked at the Heideblick and walk almost directly across the highway. About 20 yards up the farm road, turn into the forest when you see the wood steps on the right. The hut on top of the old bunker is about ? 100 yards up the path/hill - you can't miss it.
To Visit the Remains of the Highway Roadblock Gates:
Instead of turning off the highway from Bruchmuhlbach into Lambsborn, follow the road toward Rosenkopf as it curves to the left. About 400 meters from the intersection, watch for the two gateposts along the road. There is no safe place to park - you may want to park at the intersection and walk if you want a close look. Another set, not as impressive, are on Talstrasse approximately 100 meters off the main street, adjacent to the sawmill. One cement base has been incorporated into the wall by the sawmill.
To Visit the Bunkers in Lambsborn:
Watch for the “Waldstrasse” turn in the middle of Lambsborn, one intersection north of the church. Turn uphill onto “Waldstrasse” at the corner near the bakery. Follow the street up the hill and park when Waldstrasse makes a sharp curve to the left. The "Feuerhaus" (firehouse) at the intersection is located on an old bunker site, visible under the yard. Continue on Waldstrasse several hundred yards down the street. The bunker site is off to the left, between houses # 33 and #35 (#35 is a log house). Though the site is grassed over, the entry to the bunker is visible. Another bunker remain is apparently on the south end of ? Bergstrasse - stand by for more info!
